Party With Us WHO: Your birthday tyke! Any child can have their birthday party at the Discovery Dome!! Birthday Parties are for children up to 10 but will allow some older combinations of ages (ie. siblings.) Both boys and girls are welcome! WHAT: Discovery Dome generally provides a 1 1/2 hour fun-filled birthday party! The first hour takes place in the lastest greatest place for fun and children's fitness facility-the Discovery Dome. Depending on age, activities include but are not limited to: a gymnastics obstacle course with age-appropriate equipment, energy expending races, parachute games and many other active games and birthday fun! We provide the room, You provide: juice, birthday cake or cupcakes, candles, party supplies. You can bring in food or order pizza if you would like too. Best of all, you rent the entire facility for one and a half (1 ˝) hours or a play only time of one hour for a private party. Parent supervision is required for children 4 and younger unless arrangements have been made with birthday child’s parent & instructor. A refundable deposit of $100 is required. This deposit insures commitment for date and time. Included is a free Hilton Development lesson to your guests. Full Party amount due at party. We will provide enough 6ft tables and chairs to accommodate your little guests. We recommend disposable table cloths. Simple foods are suggested. Parents are responsible to serve and clean up at the party within the time provided for food, cake, & present opening. Your party host/hostess will assist you during this time. PARENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES : Please Read Carefully! Parents are responsible for providing food and drinks, etc. Coaches assigned to the parties will assist in the cleanup if needed unless they are doing another party immediately afterwards or monitoring play. Parents are also responsible for leaving the room tidy for the next party (tables wiped, floor swept if needed, garbage in waste bags). Gratuities are not included and are always appreciated Party Invitations WHEN: Every weekend throughout the school year! (By request during the summer months.) Friday evenings, Saturdays, & Sundays WHERE: Discovery Dome located next to animal shelter & 5 star (Pepsi) Distributing. Corner of Kretschmer & Levee Drives. * All party participant guardians must sign an understanding of discovery dome rules & policies. These will be given to you before the party (directions to facility included.) * Children should wear comfortable clothing. No shoes in the gym!! * Parents are to enter the gym during a party, and are responsible for personal child’s safety during free play time. How soon should I book my party? As soon as possible. The Discovery Dome is booked on a first come first serve basis, so the sooner you book your party, the better your selection will be. It is not uncommon for parties to be scheduled six to eight weeks in advance. Note: we cannot guarantee your reservation until you have made your deposit. How many guests can attend? Numbers and prices (max 24) are listed in the price list. However special arrangements can be made for a bigger party. Can I bring my own decorations? Yes! However, please do not bring any decorations that need to be hung or attached to the walls or the ceiling. Table decorations are most appropriate. How do I book a Birthday Party and is a deposit required? Call our Reservations at 785-537-9773 Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You may also make reservations in person at Alteca Ltd./Bates Dance Studios • A refundable $100 deposit is required at the time of the reservation in order to reserve the date. Covers reservation, any additional clean-up, or possible damage costs. • The balance and final guest count are due 10 days before your scheduled party. • Reservations with outstanding balances risk cancellation and no refunds will be given. Where do my guests park? Inform your guests that they can park on the street. They can also park in the discovery dome Parking lot but leaving the coaches and parents of the birthday kids the front spaces. Do you have a water fountain? No. Water fountains quickly become unsanitary as well as becoming an unsafe obstacle in such a vigorously active center like Discovery Dome. Can we bring food other than cake? Yes. You are welcome to bring food for your guests but we ask that you keep it simple. We cannot allow any food that has to be prepared or heated onsite. Finger foods, chips, and the like are fine. Should we open presents ? This is a personal decision that only you can make, but from our experience most guests at a birthday party have little interest in sitting still while the birthday boy or girl opens presents. Some kids are quite excited to watch the gifts opened, others could care less. Just please inform us of your intentions. When can I do set-up for the party? We think it is a good idea to have early set-up and as long as we don’t have a party before yours, we can let the parents set-up early. NO PLAYING ON THE EQUIPMENT!
